Look Back on Wish List 2007

Looking back at my wish list for 2007, seems like I got quite a lot of them. Man, it means I'm spending lots of money too! But I think I've done great in controlling myself from buying models which are just decorative and I hardly have enough space for them.

This list serves as a 2007 checklist, as well as to announce what I want (in case you want to buy me some presents for whatever reasons).

Surprise

I have the longest dream about you last night. I only recall some scenes now but I know it has been a pretty fun dream.

I think we are adults in the dream, yet we are behaving like little kids. Those are the only memories of the very little days we had spent together. Laughter, simple life.

2 Days Later

It has been like this since slightly more than 10 years ago. I always wished I could say the words right to you. But now, even if I tell myself I can recognise you from your back 10 metres away, your voice from 3 metres away, I can't find you anywhere. Best wishes to you.

The most beautiful bird

Once upon a time, there was a farmer who went into the forest in the mountains to collect some firewood. While he was on his way back home, he saw a big bird injured lying on the ground. Compassionately, he carried the bird home and nursed it to health.

As the bird got better day by day, the farmer could see that this is a very beautiful bird. It got silvery white feathers that shine brightly and it got a very beautiful voice that can sing soothing melodies. When the bird got better, it did not fly away. Instead, it stayed with the farmer and sing for him everyday.

One day, someone told him there was also a golden bird living in the mountain. It has feathers ten times more beautiful than the silver bird and a voice hundred times more enchanting than the silver bird.

From that day onwards, the farmer started looking for the golden bird in the mountains and kept thinking about the golden bird. But he never found it and as days go by, he became more and more sad. He couldn't sleep well and eat well. When the silver bird saw this, it tried to cheer the farmer up. It flew around him and started singing for him, but the farmer was still unhappy and ignored the silver bird.

Seeing this, the silver bird was dejected. It flew to the feet of the farmer and bowed its head low, to show its appreciation to the farmer for saving its life. After that, it took off into the sky, and started flying back towards the mountains.

When the farmer looked up, he saw that the silver bird, under the setting sun, had turn into a golden bird.

Tarot

You are The Hermit

Prudence, Caution, Deliberation.

The Hermit points to all things hidden, such as knowledge and inspiration, hidden enemies. The illumination is from within, and retirement from participation in current events.

The Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. You do not desire to socialize; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. You prefer to take the time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent but these feelings eventually lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.

The Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing.
