Update

I call this post a "sharing" update. can't come up with a better name.

Read the news, another guy killed by MRT at Clementi. Sad.

Corrinne May having a concert a week before X'mas. Hmm, am very happy the moment I read this cos I have already miss 2 of her concerts. Hmm, I have to KIV even though I like to go. Tempting, very tempting.

Last but not least, a quote I read which I think is wickedly funny and true.
"Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired."
Jules Renard

What the World Needs Now Is Love -- Jackie DeShannon

Recently I'm running through the old songs and viola...there's this classic song from Forrest Gump.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No not just for some but for everyone.

Lord, we don't need another mountain,
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross,
Enough to last till the end of time.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No, not just for some but for everyone.

Lord, we don't need another meadow
There are cornfields and wheat fields enough to grow
There are sunbeams and moonbeams enough to shine
Oh listen, lord, if you want to know.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No, not just for some but for everyone.

No, not just for some, oh, but just for everyone.

What my world need now is love.

Wish I Could Be

Every Little Thing by Dishwalla

Let me in
to see you in the morning light
to get me on and all along the tears they come
see all come
I want you to believe in life
but I get the strangest feeling that you've gone away
will you find out who you are too late to change?

I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
all the time
I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
all the time
some times

lift me up
just lift me up don't make a sound
and let me hold you up before you hit the Ground
see all come
you say your all right
but I get the strangest feeling
that you've gone away- you've gone away
and will you find out who you are too late to change?

I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
all the time
I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
all the time
some times

Don't give me up
don't give me up tonight
or soon nothing will be right at all
salvation
will you find out who you are too late to change?

I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted

Spare me....jus a thot

I wonder sometime if people appreciate it if I spare a thought for them.

If someone spare a thought for me, would I appreciate them for meaning well or would I get annoyed at them for sparing a thought and making the decision for me. Especially if they are making the wrong assumptions and I would really wish they "spare the wrong thoughts".

Let me know if you have spare a thought for me.

Selena

Not sure how many of you remembered the boutique brand Selena. It was more than 10 years ago. I'm not sure what's the reason, but I always have an image of the brand's logo in my head.

It was established by the singer Selena who was tragically murdered at age 23. Sad news. She was rising up as a promised huge star and about to take a leap in her english singing career. From her biography, it is not difficult to guess she is a girl with courage and determination. Going against odds. Launching her english singing career despite it was deem almost impossible for a Mexican American to succeed. Running away to get married after facing objections from her father.

Her song that I love for over 10 years.

She'll always be remembered.

Hotel Rwanda

I watched the movie again.

I was moved by the same scene again.

I was mocked by the same words again.

A great story indeed.

Take That

I saw a post on Take That on my friend's blog and it certainly brought me down memory lane.

It was about 10 years ago when my friends and I were watching thier videos and learning their dance steps for dance performances at campfire and farewell party. It was fun and tiring, yea, if u guys can still remember. Days and nights listening to the same song till we got dread of it. Laughing about how stupid we will be if we followed all those idols' dance steps. Having muscle ache and cramps. 3 Cheers for those, bros!

Certainly, I still love their songs up till today. Great love songs to hear.

And the following song to commerate our long standing friendship.

Save the best for the last. My favorite of the favorites - Babe. It tells a story.

USA - Yosemite NP

This place is the place to go if you step into California and you are a nature lover. It's so beautiful and natural. It puts me at peace whenever I think about that place. The huge grey-washed rocks and white waterfalls against the clear blue sky, along with the greenery and gushing of water.

I did a few treks here up to have a closer view with the waterfalls. One such trek is the Vernal Falls trek. It's a fairly simple trek, started off with a gentle slope and is well covered with shade from the trees. From afar, one can see the waterfall pouring down over from the ends. This indeed motivate me to carry on the trek up. The tricky part is towards the end where the trek leads me to the side of the waterfall. It gets slippery and steeper at the same time. But with the cool water sprinkling over your face as you walk along, well, it's pretty refreshing.

At least there's water for Vernal Falls. A hike to the Yosemite Falls earlier one day was a disappointment. Someone turned off the tap for the waterfalls. Only a slow flow of water trinkled down. Yosemite Falls is suppposedly the grandiest of the falls in the park.
